Lynda Hill began volunteering with South Vancouver Neighbourhood House (SVNH) in 2015. She was looking for a way to give back to her community and was interested in helping support seniors to age in place.
Lynda started volunteering as a driver with the Better at Home Program and continues to provide assisted transportation to appointments and outings.
Soon after, she took on the role of friendly visitor when it became apparent that some seniors would benefit from additional companionship.
In addition, she joined the South Vancouver Food Hub, delivered in partnership with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, a partner organization.
As a volunteer with the Food Hub, Lynda strives to increase food security within South Vancouver and goes above and beyond by delivering groceries to seniors that are unable to access the Food Hub in person.
Lynda is a reliable and compassionate volunteer who is enthusiastic and always willing to help.
She continues to give her time selflessly to help her neighbours and support SVNH programs and services.
